Claude Eversull Pettitt

Claude Eversull Pettitt, 77, of Point Of Rocks, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, January 21, 2023 in Point Of Rocks, MD. He is survived by wife of 60 years, Linda.

Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late John Richard Pettitt and Hazel C. (Eversull) Pettitt.

He retired from the U.S. Geological Survey as a printer. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and playing cards.

Claude was a past president of Point of Rocks Ruritan Club. He also was a member and Past Master of Fervency # 200 AF & AM, Point of Rocks. He was involved in many community activities over the years.

He is survived by wife, Linda Pettitt; children, Michael Pettitt and wife Bonnie, Nancy Tome and husband Jeff; and Christopher Pettitt, and wife Janice; grandchildren, Alex Tome, Aaron Pettitt, Heather Pettitt, Carl Pettitt, and Ellen Pettitt; a brother, George R. Pettitt and partner Claudia; and special sister and brother-in-law, Carol and John Rooney.

Services will be private.
