Mr. Clarence L. Clark, 93 of Frederick, MD., died Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Kline Hospice House. He was the husband of the late Janet Mae (Shifflett ) Clark.

Born January 30, 1916 in East Corinth, Maine, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Viola D. ( Edmunds ) Clark.

Mr. Clark served his country in the U.S. Navy, a veteran of W.W. II He was a member of the V.F.W. Martinsburg, WV, and the Woodsboro American Legion. After his service in the Navy he was employed with Berkley Lumber of Martinsburg, WV for 18 years. He was later employed as manager for N.Z. Cramer & Sons, Woodsboro, MD for 37 years, retiring at the age of 88. He enjoyed bird watching, crossword puzzles and flowers.

Mr. Clark is survived by 4 children , James Clark & wife Margaret of Martinsburg, WV, Kathryn Burris & husband Michael of Hedgesville, WV, Craig Clark & wife Susan of Frederick, Lisa Anders of Frederick who lived with and cared for him at his home for 11 years, grandchildren Evan and Amy Anders, Halle, Lindsay and Stephanie Clark, Jennifer Sanders, Alec Burriss and Cindi Douglas, Shelly Shade, great grandchildren Blake and Morgan Douglas, Michael and Kelsey Tyeryar, Kaitlyn, McKensie and Reagan Sanders.

He was preceded in death by three sisters Eva Lucas, Evelyn Bennett and Harriett Donaldson. He will also be missed by special friends Martha Cooley, Seneh Sanner, Joan Hankey, Barbara Dangler and Debbie Flook.

Services: Memorial services will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Md on Sunday, September 27th, at 4:00 p.m. where family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Rev. William M. Bucher will officiate.
