Clarence Lee Taylor, Jr.

Clarence Lee Taylor, Jr., 93, long-time Thurmont resident, passed from this life on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Homewood at Crumland Farms in Frederick. He was the loving husband of Irene Taylor, who predeceased him in 2013.

Born on April 12, 1929, in Huntington, WV, he was the son of the late Clarence Lee Taylor, Sr. and Lulu Belle (Petit) Taylor.

Mr. Taylor retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He was a Korean War Veteran, and, at one time, was stationed at Camp David. Additionally, he was a Federal employee of NSA.

He was a member of Weller United Methodist Church in Thurmont and enjoyed gardening in younger years. 

He is survived by two sons, Clarence Lee Taylor, III and Gregory H. Taylor; granddaughter, Stacey Lynn Taylor; and neighbors, Mike and Holly Torre and daughters, Megan and Nicole.

He was predeceased by his wife and brothers, James R. Taylor and John R. Taylor.

Services for Mr. Taylor will be private.
