Clarence Stull

Clarence Clifford Stull, 88, of Thurmont, MD passed away at his home Saturday, June 10, 2017. He was the husband of Margaret (Clabaugh) Stull for 67 years.

Born on March 7, 1929, he was the oldest of nine children of Chester Allen Stull and Lottie Marie (Cline) Stull.

He was co-owner of Stull's Plumbing and Heating in Thurmont along with his brother Jim for many years. Clifford enjoyed swimming, bowling, traveling, antique cars and playing bingo at the Thurmont Senior Center and going to oyster dinners. He especially loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Clifford is survived by daughters, Gail Stull and Ron Carey of Sabillasville, Joan Staub and husband Ernie of Emmitsburg and Debbie Stull of Thurmont; four grandchildren Eric Mayhew and wife Lori, Justin Staub and girlfriend Ashlea Farinholt, Darren Staub and Michaela Stull; two great-grandchildren Evan and Emry Mayhew. He is also survived by his brother Chester Stull; sister Shirley Lantz; his Aunt Clara Schumacher and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his stepson Kenny Clabaugh, sisters Kitty Bledsoe, Fay Webster, Nancy Stull, Clara Jean Late and Priscilla Nash and one brother Jim Stull. He will also be missed by his neighbor of 56 years, Patt Troxell and his senior Bowling League members.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont, on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Weller United Methodist Church, 101 N. Altamont Ave., Thurmont, MD, at 11AM. Pastor Bob Kells will officiate.

Interment will be private.
