Mrs. Clare Ann Evancho, 67, of Brunswick, MD died Saturday, September 28, 2013 at her home. She was the wife of the late Ronald Evancho, who predeceased her on July 20, 2010.
Born October 17, 1945 in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Rosemary Held Erlinger.
Upon her graduation from Bishop McCort High School in Johnstown, Clare studied at Cambria Rowe Business College. She worked in the medical industry for 33 years before retiring to help care for her grandchildren.
She loved spending time with her five grandchildren and traveling with her family to their beach house in Fenwick Island, DE, and driving out on the beach at Assateague Island. Clare was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and her favorite holiday was Christmas.
Surviving are her daughters, Mikki Collins and husband, Scott Collins, of Portland, OR, and Katie Davidson and husband, Rick Davidson, Jr. of Brunswick; five grandchildren, Althea Collins, Vivian Collins, Evan Collins, Meghan Davidson, and Ashlee Davidson; her cousin, Linda Zima of Johnstown, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick, MD 21716. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 4 from St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4231 Catholic Church Rd., Knoxville, MD 21758.
Interment will be private.
