Mrs. Clara Annette Zogg, 83, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Norman Zogg.
Born September 22, 1931 in Binghamton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Martha Ganow Church.
Mrs. Zogg graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and from the State University of New York College at Oswego with a Master of Science in Education. She worked as a registered nurse and a teacher in the Oswego and Onondaga Counties in New York State. In her leisure time, she enjoyed travel, gardening, and swimming. She was also an active Girl Scout leader for many years. Further, she was a devoted member of the Methodist church. Her faith was a central part of her life, and she found a way to participate in church and devotional activities wherever she lived.
She is survived by her children Charlotte Zogg and husband Adam Safier of Monrovia, MD, Robert Zogg and wife Kimberley Fitch of Carlisle, MA, and Edward Zogg and wife Kay of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren Steven Zogg, Alea Safier, and Jennifer Zogg; and a sister Margaret Church of Monroe, MI. She was preceded in death by a brother Charles Church and a sister Cynthia Brightman.
