Chuck Goad

Robert Charles "Chuck" Goad, Jr., 55, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away December 4, 2018 at his home, due to continued health related issues.

"Big Chuck", as he was known, was born May 17, 1963 in Montgomery County, Maryland and was the son of the late Betty J. Goad Abbott and Robert Charles Goad, Sr.  He is survived by his 2 brothers, Russell (Gail) Goad of Damascus, Maryland and Richard (Anita) Goad of Boonsboro, Maryland; 3 Children, Robert Goad, III, Nikki Goad and Bradley Goad; 2 Grandchildren, Mia and Carlos and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

Chuck was a 1981 Graduate of Damascus Senior High School.  Growing up, Chuck could be found either at his uncle Bobby Hood's home helping with the cattle or working as a Farm Aid for Bob Porter, Sr. at his Foxfield farm, helping with his cattle or baling lots of hay.  His love of hunting, Harley Davidson motorcycles, cigars, firearms, latest technological gadgets, watching the Sopranos and his big bear hugs are sadly remembered and will be greatly missed.

Chuck was employed for many years performing both residential and commercial construction.  He worked for Bob Porter Construction in Woodbine for 14 years until moving to the Bradenton/Sarasota, Florida area.  While in Florida, Chuck had his own business, Construction Services, Inc. of Manatee County (CSI).  Additionally, Chuck collaborated with Tom of Rockwell Enterprises on numerous projects throughout Florida.  Chuck returned to Maryland and was currently working for Select Contractors as a construction superintendent until his untimely death.

Arrangements have been provided by Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick and the family wishes to thank them for their undivided and professional attention to detail at this time.  A celebration of Chuck's life will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
