Christopher "Chris" Code

Christopher “Chris” Joseph Code passed away on July 10, 2020 at the age of 40 at his home in Hagerstown, MD.  Chris was born on July 8, 1980 in Silver Spring, MD.  He lived in Boyds, MD and Brunswick, MD before moving to Boonsboro, MD where he grew up. He graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1999.

Chris was a metal worker and CNC machinist, working for several local employers over the years. Chris’ passion was music. He was a Drum & Bass DJ, participating in many musical events, and a talented artist who shared his works with his friends.  He also loved to spend time with his son Max Code, sharing his love for music, hiking and movies. Chris was a kind and caring person who was loved by many people.

Chris is survived by his mother Kathryn Code, his son Max J. Code, brother John N. Code IV and his wife Erin, brother Joseph J. Code and his wife Lacee, sister Caryn A. Code, sister Dawn R. Code, aunt Kathleen A. June-Code, cousin Kristina Marroquin and her husband Jose,  cousin Colby Rood, niece Anna J. Code, nephew John “Jay” Code V, uncles Gerald Schulz, John Bise and Kevin Bise and his wife Sherry, and numerous cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father John N. Code III, his paternal grandparents John N. Code Jr. and Anne M. Code, and maternal grandmother Gladys E. Schulz.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 25 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home at 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713.  A memorial service will be held for family and a limited number of friends 12:00 pm to 1:00 PM.  Face coverings are required.

Private interment will follow immediate afterwards at Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown, WV.
