Master Christopher James Murrah, 20-month old son of Sheila Dawn Metz and Johnnie Wayne Murrah of Monrovia, became an Angel on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Johns Hopkins Hospital following injuries from an accident.
Born March 19, 2011 in Frederick, he was an active and energetic little boy. Described by his family as loving and funny, Christopher was “all boy” in many ways.
Due to his untimely death, he was able to continue his loving spirit by being a heart valve donor through the Living Legacy Foundation. Christopher’s family has affectionately named him a “Hero.”
He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Christopher is survived by his sisters, Danielle, Melissa and Kaylee Murrah; grandparents, Harold Metz and Patricia Collins Murrah; great-grandmothers, Sybol Iser and Frankie Metz; aunts, Debbie Metz, Vickie Roles and husband, John, Terri Jean Carder and husband, Brad, and Brandi Falk and husband, Sean; and many cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandmother, Sandra Metz; great-grandmother, Mabel Hargrove; and uncles, Daniel James Collins and Ted Nash.
Christopher’s family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 29 at First Baptist Church of Green Valley, 11402 Ridge Lane, Monrovia, MD 21770. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Yoho.
Entombment will follow at the mausoleum of Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
