Mr. Christopher Ryan Hansberger, 31, of Knoxville, MD., died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at his home.
Born December 13, 1983 in Olney, MD, he was the son of Ruth Bolan Willis of Knoxville and Richard S. Hansberger and wife Karen of Urbana, MD.
Christopher was a graduate of Urbana High School. He served his country in the U. S. Navy and was employed by Jamsco Plumbing Co., for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family , rafting and deep water fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter Skylar Barnes, siblings Brian Peacock and wife Becky, Thomas Hansberger of Frederick, Richard Hansberger and wife Heather of Brunswick, Michael Hansberger of Knoxville, John Willis and wife Lacey of Harpers Ferry, Andrew Willis and wife Amber of Knoxville, Stuart Willis and fiancé Jackie of Frederick and Chris Hagen of Meyersville, Mary Mercer and husband Rob of Knoxville. Maternal grandmother Regis Casey of Frederick and paternal grandmother Charlotte Hansberger of Urbana. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends also survive. He will also be remembered by Sabrina and Jim Hagen and Gloria and Deems "Papa Bear" Whaley. He was preceded in death by his step-dad John Willis and his paternal grandfather Leroy S. Hansberger.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Avenue, Brunswick, Saturday May 16, at 3:00 pm. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 pm until service time.
