Heaven’s gates opened early on the morning of Thursday, November 28, 2013 to receive Christopher Gerald Goldzwig II, 23 of of Keymar, MD. Christopher’s sudden death was the result of an automobile accident. Born November 28, 1990 in Frederick, MD, he is the beloved son of Christopher G. Goldzwig of Keymar MD; and Alisa Goldzwig Strobel and her husband, Scott of Keymar, MD. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by one loving sister, Jessica Lynn Goldzwig, two step brothers, Landen and Tyler Strobel, grandparents Rick and Karen Crum, Woodsboro, MD, grandmother Patricia Dassler, Whitefish Bay, WI, great grandmother Marie S. Rippeon, Frederick,MD; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandfather Jerome A. Goldzwig and great grandparents, Oscar R. Rippeon, Betty Crum and Richard Crum. Christopher was an outdoorsman who was at his best when fishing and hunting. Through his scouting devotion, he earned the Eagle Scout which is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program. Christopher graduated from Walkersville High School. Christopher was loved by many who will surely miss his wonderful and contagious smile.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 3-5 and 6-9 PM at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Christopher will be on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, MD.
