Christine "Chris" Ann (Custer) Martz, 65, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at her home.

Born on May 23, 1948, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Grace (Linsenbigler) Custer.
Chris was a graduate from Upper Perkiomen High School in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania.  She relocated to Maryland to attend the Maryland Medical Secretary School and after meeting her husband, they raised their family in Boonsboro.  Chris was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed cooking and being a farmer's wife.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Martz; one daughter, Amy E. Miller and husband Alan of Funkstown, Maryland; one son, Michael D. Martz and wife Jackie of Boonsboro; and six grandchildren, Emily R., Jolene R., JD, and David P. Miller, and Luke D. and Nadine M. Martz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David L. Martz, and her daughter, Rebecca L. Martz.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.  Pastor Richard Daughtridge, of Jacob's Church, will officiate.  Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery near Hagerstown.  Family and friends will gather for a meal immediately following the graveside service.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the funeral home.
