Christian C. Hager

Christian C. Hager, 65, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Frederick Health Hospital.

Born on December 22, 1956 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Christian C. Hager and Dorothy Adelaide (Britner) Hager of New Oxford, PA and Kitty Hawk, NC. 

Chris earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Gettysburg College and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland. He served proudly in the U.S. Army as a Captain in the Third Army Battalion (Artillery). He retired from a career in logistics and supply chain management in private industry and the federal government. Chris will be remembered for his keen intellect, interest in history, Ravens and Orioles games, his exuberant love of dogs, his booming voice as a Little League umpire and cheering on his sons at their soccer games. 

In addition to his mother, Dorothy, Chris is survived by his beloved sons, Andrew Hager and Nicholas Hager; sister, Victoria Byers (Tom Byers); and former spouse, Carolyn Hunger. 

A private memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stauffer Funeral Homes and Stauffer Crematory, Inc.
