C. Howard Beall

Mr. C. Howard Beall, 87, of Frederick, died on Sunday, March 4, 2007 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Evelyn Jean ( Bradley ) Beall on February 28, 1996.

Born on December 4, 1919 he was a son of the late Barry R. and Edith E. (Burdette) Beall. Mr. Beall was a member of the Frederick First Church of the Nazarene for 72 years, where he was very active for many years serving as a board member and was a member of the Silver Liners. He devoted his life to dairy farming, was a member of the Maryland Farm Bureau, the Maryland and Virginia Milk Producers for 50 years. He was a life-time member of the Montgomery County Fair and a board member of Damascus Camp Meeting. He received the Maryland State Governor's Citation in appreciation of his outstanding service to the children of Maryland on November 18, 1969. Howard will be remembered as being devoted to God, family and Church.

Mr. Beall is survived by five children, Paul N. Beall and wife Teresa, Donald H. Beall and wife Bonnie, Harold L. Beall and wife Bobbye, Dean B. Beall and Kathy J. Crum; twenty grandchildren, Mike and Arla Beall, Marty and Julie Beall, Scott and Ella Edwards, Shane and Cherie Edwards, Chris and Maggie Beall, Keesha Beall, Marta and Nick Mastrogianakis, Travis Beall, Lucas Beall, Jessica Thew, Katie Crum, Bruce Crum, Jr., Alessia and Jay Warfield; fifteen great-grandchildren, Joe and Jeremy Ruthvin, James, Eric, jack, and Kate Edwards, Laney Beall, Nathan Krug, Nick Poss, Alexa Leger, John Michael and Nicholas Mastrogianakis, Tyler, Landon, and Dominic Warfield; five siblings, Esther, Ruth and Catherine Watkins, Lindy and Willis Beall. Howard will also be remembered by his close friend Jimmy Purdum. He was preceded in death by brothers; John, Elwood and Fred Beall, a sister Julia Puntney.

Visitation: Family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, March 7, from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Services: Services will be held on Thursday, March 8, at 11:00 a.m. at the Frederick First Church of the Nazarene, 7899 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, with Pastor. Rob Merki officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Manor Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Scott and Shane Edwards, Mike, Marty, Chris and Travis Beall. Jake Crum will serve as honorary pallbearer.
