Cheryl Sewell

Cheryl Renee Sewell, 57, of Frederick passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Ernest Sewell Jr., on October 22, 1991.

Born November 14, 1964 in Frederick, she was the daughter of Geraldine (Hoy) James and the late William James.

Cheryl worked as an insurance claims negotiator.

She enjoyed spending time with her family. Cheryl was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Cheryl leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Geraldine James (Pete); children, Randy Sewell (Jessica), Darnell Sewell (Lauren), and Taniesha Sewell; sister, Diane Bell (William); brothers, William James and Richard James; devoted friends, Earlene Lumpkin, Tanya Ballard, and Jeffery Thompson; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Darlene Ferrell; father-in-law, Andy Sewell; numerous aunts and uncles, and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Predeceased family members include her husband, Randy Sewell; father, William James; son, William "BJ" Sewell; brothers, Ronald James and David James; and sister, Jacqueline James.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, with a funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Ray Sewell.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Marty Boyce, Robert Bowens, Charles Brown Jr., Gary Fossett, Kevin Brightful, and Charles Pryor.

Due to the recent Covid outbreak, there will be no repass.
