Cheryl Sedon

It is with great sadness that the family of Cheryl Turcovski Sedon announces her passing after a hard fought battle with cancer on Thursday the 15th of February 2018 at the age of 54 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD.

Born on August 30, 1963 in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of Joan (Bieniek) Turcovski and the late Michael Turcovski.  She graduated from AAHS in 1981 and attended Clarion University.

Cheryl resided in Frederick, MD with her husband of 29 years, Peter Sedon, and her two children, Ryan and Megan.

Cheryl was a devoted wife and mother with an amazing sense of humor and unforgettable smile. She enjoyed the beach and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan supporting the Steelers, Pirates & Penguins. Her hobbies included photography, scrapbooking & card making.
Cheryl handled her illness with grace and maintained a positive spirit throughout her battle.

Surviving in addition to her husband and children are her siblings,  Linda Turcovski of Altoona, PA., Deb (Dale) Henry of Altoona, PA., Sue Turcovski of Winter Park, FL, Michelle Turcovski of Boerne, TX, Bob (Lori ) Turcovski of Altoona, PA, and  Jim Turcovski (Dawn) of North Huntingdon, PA.    She is predeceased by her brother, Bill Turcovski of Severna Park, MD.  Cheryl also leaves behind many nieces, nephews & cousins.

A celebration of Cheryl's life journey will take place at St. Joseph's on Carrollton Manor Catholic Church, 5843 Manor Woods Road, Frederick, MD on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11:00a.m.  A luncheon to celebrate Cheryl’s life will be held at the St. Joseph’s Parish Hall following the service.  Interment will be private.
