Cheryl Ann (Dintaman) Lowery , 69, of Brunswick, MD, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 1 after a battle with an aggressive form of leukemia. She lived her life selflessly, prioritizing others above herself. Her faith, compassion, care, love, and humor will be remembered most.
She is preceded in death by John and Page Dintaman, Brunswick, and was survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Phillip Lowery; her son, Jeremy, his wife, Amber; her daughter, Kimberly Cariola, her husband, Joseph Cariola; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, and Maya Lowery; and, siblings, Donald Dintaman, Sandra Ott, and Charlene Dintaman.
Cheryl graduated from Brunswick High School and was a lifelong public servant of the federal government, primarily at Ft. Detrick. After 37 years of service, she retired in January 2017. Retirement gave her time to enjoy many activities and spend time with her favorite people, including her grandchildren, also known as her "little loves." She regularly attended their sports games and competitions. If she wasn't with her grandchildren, she could be seen riding the roads of Frederick and Washington County on her motorcycle, getting her license in April 2007. Her other passions included reading and studying her bible, lunching with friends, sewing, crafting cards for loved ones, and taking in the nature from her back deck.
Above all else, Cheryl was a lifelong Christian and strong in her faith. She was an active member of Faith Baptist Church, regularly attending Sunday worship services and bible study.
A celebration of her life will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 2212 Jefferson Pike, Knoxville, MD, on December 8th at 11:00 AM. The service will be led by Pastor Kevin Marr. Food will be provided following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Faith Baptist Church, 2212 Jefferson Pike, Knoxville, Maryland 21758, are encouraged. Cheryl Lowery.
