Charlotte {Fritz} Lipps

Mrs. Charlotte ( Fritz ) Lipps, 94, of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Northampton Manor. She was the wife of the late Maynard Lipps.

Born on September 12, 1912 in Libertytown she was a daughter of the late Milton Ezra and Mary Elizabeth ( Smith ) Fritz.

Mrs. Lipps was a member of Walkersville United Methodist Church. She and her husband were the proprietors of Lipps Shoe Repair Shop, Frederick. She was a graduate of Liberty High School, Class of 1928 .

She is survived by her daughter Mary Elizabeth Crabbs and husband Donald, a nephew Charles Baugher, 2 nieces, June Bowers and Mary Smith, 3 great-nieces, Cheryl and Shelly Clingan, Julie Rice, 2 great-great nieces , Christine Fogle and Delaney Rice, 1 cousin Marie Moxley. The last of her immediate famly, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Milton and Charles Fritz, 5 sisters; Julia Blumenauer, Helen Allen, Lola Harbaugh, Margaret Baugher, and Ruby Harbaugh.

She is also remembered by special friends; Martha Kline, Nancy Hawkins, Gloria Thompson, Debbie Weddle and Elva Tobery.

The family extends a special thanks to Ann Thompson and Rev. Steve Humphrey.

Visitation: Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Sunday, Jan. 21, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rev. Steve Humphrey officiating.
Interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be, Roy Smith, Marty Naugle, Richard DeSory, Kevin Weddle, Terry Eyler, and Charles Baugher.
