Charlotte Marie "Grandma" Rice 84, of Frederick, passed away on January 16, 2013 surrounded by her family at the Golden Living Center, Frederick. She was the loving wife of Maynard "Chuck" Rice.
She was born on July 24, 1928 in Middletown she was the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl Boyer Minnick.
Grandma will be remembered by all as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Araby United Methodist Church, Frederick.
Also surviving are her children, Donald C. "Hooter" Rice and wife Janet E. of Frederick and Teresa Beckley and husband Thom of Walkersville. Grandchildren Matthew C. Rice and wife Janina of Knoxville, Jody Barnes and husband Chris of Huntington Beach, CA., Kerri Korrell of Frederick and Colton Beckley of Walkersville. Great Grandchildren, Allyson, Allysa, Hunter, Nash and Dylan. She was preceded in death by 8 of her siblings.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, where funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 2:00pm. Pastor Debra Linton will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Frederick.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Araby United Methodist Church, 4548 Araby Church Road Frederick, MD 21704 or to the Alzheimers Association, Western Maryland Chapter, 108 Byte Driver, Suite 103, Frederick MD 21702.
