Charlotte Peters
June 17, 1931 — November 9, 2015
Mrs. Charlotte E. Peters, 84, of Brunswick, MD passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Vindobona Nursing Home and Rehab Center. She was the wife of the late James M. Peters.
Born June 17, 1931 in Gainsville, VA she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Corum.
Charlotte was a member of the Oakrum Baptist Church. She was also a member of the VFW, Brunswick and the American Legion and enjoyed volunteering at the VA Hospital in Martinsburg. Charlotte also enjoyed cooking, knitting and jigsaw puzzles. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children James Peters and wife Renee of MD, Shelia Gale Barbour and husband Carl of Hagerstown, George Peters and wife Tammy of TN, Regina Peters of Germantown, Marvin Peters of Brunswick, Charles Peters of Martinsburg, John Peters and wife Anna of Jefferson and Philip Peters of Frederick; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers John Corum, Wade Corum and Thurman Corum and sister Arlane Williams; sister-in-law Linda Paul. She will also be remembered by special friends Mary Morris, Butch Smith and May Deavers.
She is preceded in death by her siblings Rosetta Corum, Howard Corum, Odessa Williams, Richard Corum and Clarence Corum.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave. Brunswick on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 3-5PM and 7-9PM where a funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13 at 11AM.
Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA at 2PM.
