Charlotte Mallet-Prevost

December 17, 1944 — August 1, 2016

Charlotte Mallet-Prevost, born December 17, 1944, passed away at the Citizens Rehabilitation Center in Frederick MD on August 1, 2016. She was the daughter of Jesse Lee Stup, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Hahn Stup. She was the wife of Ronald Mallet-Prevost who preceded her in death as well as dear friend, Charles Hahn. She was the sister of Margaret Geraldine Burger, Jesse L. Stup, Jr., and Roland R. Stup (deceased). She is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Charlotte was born and raised in Frederick County, MD and grew up on a farm in the Urbana District. She has worked all her life doing a "little bit of everything". Her first work was on the farm, where she learned to milk cows by hand and where she had her collie dog Tippy, to help herd the cattle. Work also included the family business at the Arcticaire Locker Plant, where she helped with processing meat. In addition to work, she enjoyed cooking and especially looking at recipes. She liked to travel, enjoyed horses, and followed baseball, basketball, bowling, the movies and cooking show on TV. Charlotte was a member of the Carroll Manor Grange and Women of the Moose.

A memorial service will be held Brook Hill United Methodist Church at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brook Hill United Methodist Church, 8946 Indian Springs Road, Frederick, MD 21702.
