Charlotte Hudgins

Mrs. Charlotte Hudgins, 72, of Mt. Airy, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, November 2 at her home. She was the wife of James Carl Hudgins. Born on July 9, 1945 in Baltimore, she was the only child of Alwyn and Jean (Bordley) Hundley.
Charlotte enjoyed knitting and sewing, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She leaves behind many good friends, and was appreciated for her kind and loving spirit.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Dena Hudgins Gallagher and her husband Joseph and David Hudgins and his wife Erin; two grandchildren, Ryan and Lilli Gallagher. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Susan Maxen and Phyllis Griffin and brother-in-law William Lewis Hudgins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 8 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Boulevard, Mt. Airy. Those who feel so moved can make a donation in Charlotte’s honor to a charitable organization that they feel would honor her memory.
