Charlotte Lee Browning

Charlotte Lee Browning, 76, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. She was the loving wife of Chester Alan Browning, who predeceased her on September 24, 2024.

Born on July 30, 1948, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Howard Jenkins and Charlotte Elizabeth (Watson) Jenkins.

In earlier years, she was a home day care provider and later sold antiques and collectibles. She loved spending time shopping and taking road trips and vacations. She was an avid collector of Longaberger baskets.

Charlotte was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Ray H. Leaman and wife Debrah of Sharpsburg, and Rebecca L. Seekford and husband Kirk of Greencastle; several grandchildren & great grandchildren, Brittany Diane Leaman and her children Cameron and Jrue from Waynesboro, PA., Raymond Howard Joseph Leaman (wife Kayla) along with unborn Nora Rose from Waynesboro, PA., Caitlyn Joy Seekford of Greencastle, PA, and Vincent Leaman of Frederick; and daughter-in-law, Catherine Leaman previously of Frederick, MD.

Charlotte was predeceased by her son, Daniel Bruce Leaman. 

A memorial service to honor both Charlotte and Chester will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD. Rev. Tim May will officiate. 

Interment will immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
