Charles T. Hahn, Jr., 72, of Frederick, Maryland, died on Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Northhampton Manor Health Care Center in Frederick.
Born on March 15, 1937, in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles T. and Helen (Badger) Hahn, Sr.
Mr. Hahn was affectionally known as "Pumpkin" or "Beeman" by his family and friends.
Pumpkin was a member of the Brownsville Church of the Brethren for many years. He was also a member of the Frederick CB Club, the Future Farmers of America, the 4-H Club, and Fire Company No. 4 in Frederick. He was also a volunteer with the Boys Scouts of America.
Mr. Hahn retired from Goodwill Industries where he worked in the Maintenance Department, specifically stationed at Ft. Detrick. He also worked as a Beekeeper.
He is survived by his wife and faithful companion, Charlotte Mallet-Prevost Hahn; one daughter, Tammy M. Hahn of Baltimore, Md.; one sister Betty Root of Keedysville, Md.; and his faithful feline companions Boo-Boo and Cissy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, 10:30 a.m., at the Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Road, Brownsville, Md. Pastor Alan M. Smith will officiate. Interment will be at the Brownsville Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
