Charles "Sonny" Wilt Jr.

Charles Franklin "Sonny" Wilt Jr., 78, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Somerford Assisted Living in Frederick, Maryland.

Born on June 20, 1942, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of Charles Franklin Wilt and Gladys Marie (Mauck) Wilt. Sonny was the last of his immediate family. Sonny worked as an equipment operator for Dairy Maid Dairy until his retirement at the age of 65. He enjoyed watching Westerns and the National Geographic Channel.

He is survived by his niece Brenda Campbell; nephews, Richard Wilt, Stanley Wilt Jr. and Scott Campbell and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Carroll and Stanley and his sister, Barbara.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, December 11, 2020, at 11am at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 South Market Street, Frederick, MD 21702.
