Charles "Roger" Faulder

Charles "Roger" Faulder, 86, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

Born on March 10, 1930, in Mt. Lena, Maryland, he was the son of the late Lewis and Ada (Bowman) Faulder.  His wife of 62 years, Jean K. (Cochran) Faulder, preceded him in death on February 17, 2014.

Roger was a member of the Beaver Creek Christian Church.

Roger was a self-taught and hard working man all his life.  He was never afforded the opportunity to go to school.  He retired in 1995 from the Washington County Public School system having worked in the maintenance department.  He previously had worked for the Hagerstown Rubber Company, until it closed, and he then was a fuel truck driver for the Chewsville Cooperative Association.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Virgil, Solomon, and Frank Faulder; and his sister, Susan M. (Faulder) Shaw.  Roger was the last of his family except for several nieces and nephews who will always remember his thoughtfulness, kindness and smile.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.  Rev. J. Mark Curran will officiate.  A final resting place ceremony will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery, where Roger will be laid to rest next to his wife.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
