Charles Ridgely {Butch} Grumbine

Mr. Charles Ridgely Grumbine Butch, 65 of Unionville, MD passed away on Monday, April 26, 2010 at the University of Maryland Hospital.

Born April 8, 1945 in his maternal grandparents home in Crenshaw County, Alabama, he was the son of the late Dr. James Ridgely and Edith Drake Grumbine of Unionville.

He attended Linganore High School.

Charlie worked for many years at Quynn's Hardware in Frederick.

At the time of his death he was owner of Good Morning Gutters, a name he chose because any morning you work for yourself is a good morning.

Charlie was an avid hunter and fly fisherman. He was especially fond of hunting deer and squirrel in West Virginia.

Surviving is his mother Edith Grumbine,two brothers, James and Stephen Grumbine of Unionville and a sister, Susanne Norton of Lilburn, Georgia.

Services: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville, MD on Friday, April 30th from 5:00-7:00PM. The funeral service will begin at 7:00PM with the Rev. David A. Coakley officiating.
Interment will be in Creshaw County Alabama with his father and his maternal grandparents.
