Charles "Rick" Bean, Sr.

Charles "Rick" E. Bean, Sr., 65, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.
Born on October 14, 1945, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Harold Bean, Sr. and Helen Haines.
He attended North Hagerstown High School.
Rick worked for Hagerstown Kitchens, Inc. for twenty years, after which he did various painting jobs in the area.
He was a member of the Boonsboro Family Worship Center.
Rick is survived by his wife, Avis M. Bean of Hagerstown; his three children, Charles "Rick" Bean, Jr. and his wife, Diane, Eric S. Bean and Toni M. Bean all of Hagerstown; his two brothers, Harold "Ronnie" Bean and Kenneth "Mick" White and one sister Linda Overcash. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
Rick was preceded in death by one grandson, D.J. Miller in 2006.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Boonsboro Family Worship Center, 7605 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Jack C. Payne, Jr. will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown.
