Charles O. Stouffer

Charles O. Stouffer, 80, of Boonsboro, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the NMS Heathcare in Hagerstown.



Born September 15, 1928, he was the son of the late Ernest and Lottie (Kinsey) Stouffer.



Mr. Stouffer was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict.



He was a member of the Mt. Lena United Methodist Church where he was a proud participant in the "Apple Dumpling Gang".



Mr. Stouffer was employed with Allegheny Power, retiring after 38 years of service.



He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anna Mills Stouffer; one son, Terry W. and his wife Sharon Stouffer of Boonsboro; one daughter, Robin D. and her husband Leslie Grim of Boonsboro; two brothers, Marvin Stouffer of Hagerstown, and Fayette Stouffer and his wife Doris of Boonsboro; one sister, Vivian Van Voorhis of Hagerstown; 5 grandchildren, Matthew and Jessica Grim, Brandon and Ashley Stouffer, and Jessica Deuel.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.



Mr. Stouffer was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Hogan, and two brothers, Vernon and Elvin Stouffer.



Funeral Services will be on Monday, July 6, 2009, at 11 a.m., at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.  Rev. Ray W. Dudley will officiate.  Interment will be in the Mt. Lena United Methodist Church Cemetery.



Friends may visit at the funeral beginning at 9 am on Sunday, July 5, where the family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m.
