Mr. Charles O. Lambert, 77, of Frederick died on Friday October 24, 2008 at University of Maryland Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Mary Denton Lambert.
Born in Grafton, WV, on June 10, 1931 he was the son of the late Omar D. and Edna Tucker Lambert of Grafton.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He earned a B. S. Degree from West Virginia University and a Master Degree from Union College in Schenectady, NY. He was a retired school teacher and planetarium director for Frederick County. He also taught Astronomy at Hood College and Frederick Community College. He worked for Fairchild Industries in Germantown, MD after his retirement.
He attended Calvary United Methodist Church and was a member of the American Legion Post #11. He was an avid golfer.
Surviving in addition to his wife, is one son Mark Alan Lambert and his wife Cym of Helendale, CA; Foster sister, Janice Hamilton of Grafton, WV; Two brother and sister in laws Hugo and Avanelle Roberty of Tampa, FL and Charles and Carolyn Denton of Catonsville, MD. and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 28, from 7-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services: Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday October 29, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
