Charles H. {Chuck} Clem

Charles H. Chuck Clem, 45 went to be with the Lord, Monday, July 13, 2009. He was the beloved son of William E. and Patricia A. Burrier Clem.

Born September 14, 1963, Chuck spent his childhood in the Mountaindale and Yellow Spring areas. He loved the Mountains. He graduated from Thomas Johnson High School, Class of 1981 with Votech Training as a Machinist, but his interest in wood working propelled him to his life long career as a skilled Carpenter for 25 years. For the past eight years he was associated with Brownstone Construction.

He was a Civil War enthusiast and through his love for metal detecting he gathered an extensive collection of Civil War Relics. He was a serious coin collector from the age of 10. His greatest passion was cooking, modifying recipes and he enjoyed spending time with and serving his food to family and friends.

In addition to his loving parents, Charles is survived by a sister, Deborah Harley and husband Dale, two nephews, Jacob and Andrew Harley and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Charles and Frances Clem, Harold and Nellie Burrier and two uncles Harvey and John Clem.

Chuck will be remembered by long time friends, Charles and Dixie Eccard, Jason and Ginger Deavers, Mike Stream, Andy Dorcus, Neal, Gin and Molly Draper, Malcohm Sweeny, Greg Warrenfeltz and long time companion Esther Kline.

Visitation: The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Friday, July 17 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville, MD.

Services: Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 18 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home were the family will be present to receive friends one hour prior to service time.
Interment will be near his loving maternal grandparents at Chapel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Daysville, Rd.

In lieu of flowers, any gifts in his memory can be made to the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, 48 East Patrick St., Frederick, MD 21705.
