Charles "Chuck" W. Clevenger, 27, of Boonsboro, Maryland, died as the result of an automobile accident on Saturday, November 21, 2009.
Born on December 22, 1981 in Hagerstown, he is survived by his mother, Debra L. her husband Daryl Long; and his father Steven W. Clevenger, all of Hagerstown.
Chuck had been a student at Smithsburg High School and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boonsboro. He had previously been employed as a cook at the Red Byrd Restaurant in Keedysville and at the South Mountain Inn in Boonsboro.
Chuck was known for his love and passion for skateboarding.
In addition to his parents, Chuck is survived by his brother Andrew W. and his sister Katie E. Clevenger, both of Hagerstown; one nephew, Tristin Kash Blackburn of Hagerstown; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Leona Long of Boonsboro; paternal grandparents Ernest and Donna Clevenger of Smithsburg; three uncles, Thomas Long and his wife Deena of Boonsboro, Craig Clevenger and his wife Michelle of Hagerstown and E. Eric Clevenger currently on active service with the U.S. Army; and one aunt, Sharon and her husband Ronnie Reeves of Boonsboro. He is also survived by many cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Joseph I. Donovan, III will officiate. Interment will follow in the Boonsboro Cemetery.
Friends may visit at the funeral home beginning at 12 noon on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, where the family will receive friends from 6 - 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Boonsboro Ambulance and Rescue Company 69, Post Office Box 7, Boonsboro, Maryland, 21713.
