Charles Edward Wallace 73 of Beltsville Maryland passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Washington Hospital Medical Center in Washington DC. He was the beloved husband of Sandra Wallace.
Born May 25, 1949 in Washington DC, he was the son of the late Rita S. and George W. Wallace. Charlie first lived in Silver Spring, MD and later moved to Calverton MD, he made his home in Beltsville MD. He belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Montgomery County. Charlie was a graduate of High Point High School and then went on to begin his career as a press-man operator at Craftsmans Press.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister Susan Wallace and brother George Wallace; daughter, Laurie Miller and husband Tommy; and son Charles Wallace Jr.; grandchildren, Cathy, Jesse, Amber, Allyson (husband Cody), Shanel, James; great-grandchildren Bradley, Zeppelin, Hayden, Jack, Haven and Weston.
Charlie was a generous, kind and loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Charlie enjoyed trips and vacations to CA, Ocean City, Deep Creek Lake, Myrtle Beach and Hershey Park.
Charlie enjoyed sports, music and get together with family and friends. He was an avid fan of the Washington Nationals and the Commanders formally the Redskins. Friends and family would to say “Charlie is one of the good guys!”
He will be missed so very much.
Family will receive family and friends from 12-1pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022 with a funeral service beginning at 1pm, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Rev. Father John Jicha will celebrate. His interment will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery. After interment, the family will host a time of remembering and socializing back at the funeral home.
