Charles Calvin Stover, 79, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at his home in Mount Airy, MD. Born December 12, 1936 in New Midway, MD. He was the son of the late Wilbur and Naomi Stover.
Mr. Stover was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of American Legion Post #282, Woodsboro, MD. He was a skilled mason, business owner and entrepreneur. In his leisure time he traveled and played pool in the Carroll County Senior Pool League.
He is survived by his beloved wife Diane Stover; children Bradley David Stover of Mt. Airy and Carrie Stover (Kenneth) Ferguson of Frederick; brother of Joseph Stover, Linda Parker, Helen Kaufman, Susan Welsh and the late Robert Stover and Elaine Cooper.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy, MD. on Monday, June 6 from 6-8 pm with memorial service on Tuesday, June, 7, 2016 at 11 am with Pastor Lynne Humphries-Russ, from Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, Mt. Airy officiating.
