Charles Sell

Mr. Charles L. Sell, 71 of Frederick, MD passed away Thursday, September 08, 2011 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Sell for 44years.

Born January 31, 1940 in Westfield, MA he was the son of the late Gustave and Ruth Sarty Sell.

Mr. Sell proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Prior to his retirement from the American Red Cross after 27 years of service in computer systems management he worked for the American Council of Education in Washington, D.C. Charles loved camping and being in the outdoors. He was very passionate about rebuilding old cars and enjoyed grand prix auto racing. Charles served for 30 years with a ministry called the Royal Rangers and he was an active member with Potomac Valley Assembly Church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Cynthia Roy and husband Darrell of Frederick; grandchildren Caitlin and Samuel Roy ; sisters Reita Wheeler and husband Clarence of Colrain, MA and Judy Flynn of Greenfield, MA.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossomtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 4-7PM. A funeral service will be held at Potomac Valley Assembly Church , 22901 Ridge Road Germantown, Maryland 20876 Monday, September 12 at 10:30 AM. Rev. John Bryant will officiate.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
