Charles E. Quigley, 82, of Frederick, MD, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at College View Center in Frederick.
Born October 28, 1932 in Chevy Chase, MD, he was the son of the late Stephen H. and Margaret P. Quigley.
His wife, Jeanette “Jenny” McCaw, of 10 years, was his soft spoken other half.
After graduating from Johns Hopkins University in 1955, Mr. Quigley worked briefly for Hughes Aircraft Company prior to a long career as a researcher for the federal government. He authored several textbooks in mathematics and engineering. A firm believer in God, he was active in Messianic Judaism and also authored "Knowledge of the Most High." A member of the Son of David Congregation in Wheaton, MD, he was a lover of the joy of life.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and a son.
Mr. Quigley was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen.
A celebration of his life will be held privately.
