Charles PREUSSE

Mr. Charles Sheridan "Chip" Preusse, 76, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the home of his son, Christopher Preusse in Frederick, MD.

Born in 1940, in New York City, he was the son of the late Charles Francis and Josephine Florence Preusse. He was a graduate of the Kent School in Kent, CT and of the Wharton School of Business and Finance of the University of Pennsylvania.

He served in the U.S. Air Force form 1963-1969 attaining the rank of Captain. Chip was a diehard fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants and will be greatly missed by his beloved family and friends, as well as his dog Rusty and cat Casey. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Hospice of Frederick County for their kind and compassionate care of him during his last days.

Surviving are his cherished wife of 52 years, Susan Kroner Preusse; his four loving sons: Charles (Mary), Andrew (Courtney), Christopher and Patrick and by four grandchildren: Julia, Charlie, Jack and Evelyn Preusse. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra.

Chip was a lifelong Episcopalian and services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 13, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 106 W. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the above named church of to The Humane Society of the United States, 1255 23rd Street, NW, Suite 450, Washington, DC 20037.
