Charles Piper

Charles Kenneth “Kenny” Piper, 69, of Frederick, MD, entered eternal life, Monday, May 11, 2015.  He was the son of the late Briscoe & Dorothy Piper.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Piper, of 48 years; his loving daughters, Theresa Wilcom-Bowen and husband, Roger, Missy Mobley and husband, Jayson, and Angel Liersemann and husband, Steve; his “fur” baby Bubba; and the proud grandfather of Todd & Tara Wilcom and Brantley & Brayden Mobley, who were the light of his life; his sister Terrie Gross and husband, Dave; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.  Kenny is survived by his special friends, Tom & Renee Mastrorocco and Dave & Wanda Luhn.
Kenny was so fortunate to have had the compassionate care of Dr. Hudhud, who he came to love and adore.  The family is so grateful for the many years of care and friendship he and his staff provided, along with the care of his favorite nurses at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Kenny was born in Martinsburg, WV and raised in Baltimore, MD and worked as a painter for many years.  He enjoyed fishing, dancing, horse racing, and was an avid sports fan.  Kenny was a gentle, fun-loving soul, who despite his illnesses, had a great zest for life.  He truly had a heart of gold.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 14, 2015, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick.     Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at Jefferson United Church of Christ in Jefferson with the Revs. John and Rebecca Shillingburg officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
