Charles Nusbaum

Charles "Chuck" Nusbaum, 59 of Middletown, Maryland passed from this life on June 6, 2018.
Born on June 25, 1958, in Frederick MD, he was the son of Kathy McClelland and the late Charles William Nusbaum. Frances Olivia Nusbaum, his stepmom, played a significant role in his life.
Chuck graduated from Linganore High School, class of 1976, where he developed a love for tennis.
Chuck retired from the State Highway Administration after 38 years of service. He was an avid drummer and played with several bands in the area. He served as a paramedic for several years, always passionate about helping others in need.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Mary, daughter Elyse (Buchbinder) and husband Josh, and grandson Dexter. He is also survived by stepchildren, Jason and Laura Poore, Kathy and Corey Rafter, Scott and Allison Poore, and grandchildren Tristan and Tyler Poore, and Madelyn Rafter.
The famiy will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick MD. A celebration of Chuck's life journey will take place on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:00 am. A private burial will take place at a later date.
