Mr. Charles F. Miller, 94 of Walkersville, MD passed away after a lengthy illness, Monday, August 23, 2010. He was the husband of Martha Louise Miller, his wife of 69 years.
Born May 13, 1916 in Rock County, Minnesota he was the son of the late Fred C. and Emma Baden Miller.
Mr. Miller was a relay model maker for 39 years at Price Electric and Airpax. He was the last Charter Member of the Lions Club in Walkersville and was also a past Fire Chief of the Walkersville Fire Company. After retirement he had a workshop at his home, and was known as Mr. Fix It. Repairing mowers, engines and he also repaired and sold mopeds. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique engines and tractors.
In addition to his loving wife Martha, he is survived by a daughter, Marianne E. Rhodes of Las Vegas, NV and a son, Fred C. Miller of Washington, DC, two grandchildren, Dr. Lindsay A. Rhodes, Birmingham, AL and Gregory T. Rhodes, Reno, NV. He is also survived by a sister Marie Bunning, Baxter, MN.
He was preceded in death by a half sister Anna Frisbee and three half brothers, Paul, Louis and Frank Thomsen and two brothers, George and Joseph Miller.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville from 9:00 10:00AM on Thursday, August 26

. Funeral services will then begin at 10:00AM with Pastor Mark L. Foucart officiating.
Interment will be in Glade Cemetery.
