Charles Manzolillo

Charles Michael "Mike" Manzolillo, 57, of Mt. Airy, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth B. Manzolillo, his wife of 33 years.
Born on September 5, 1958 in Lexington, VA he was the son of the late Col. Russell J. and Dorothy F. Ford Manzolillo. The son of an Army Colonel, as a youngster he traveled overseas and lived for a time in Italy. Mike was a 1976 graduate of Severna Park High School and of Capitol College in 1980. He was an controls engineer (BSEE) with GEA. He loved the outdoors. Mike enjoyed fishing, gardening, especially known for his tomatoes, or just spent time splitting firewood in his backyard.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Amy Manzolillo of Baltimore; a brother, Russell Manzolillo, Jr. and wife Stella of Seneca, SC; as well as brothers-in-law: Mark Mangum, Paul Mangum, Adam Mangum and Andrew Mangum all of Spartanburg, SC.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 26, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville, Blvd., Mt. Airy with Rev. Michael J. Ruane officiating.
Interment will be private
