Charles Jackson, Sr.

Mr. Charles E. "Bud" Jackson, Sr., 81, of Frederick, died Friday, August 16, 2013 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Margaret E. Fletcher Jackson, who predeceased him in 2001.
Born July 19, 1932 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Grafton and Annabelle Nickens Jackson.
In younger years, he was a nursing assistant and caregiver at Citizens Nursing Home. Bud was a life member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Suburban Frederick. He was in the Navy Reserves.
He is survived by two sons, Charles E. Jackson, Jr. and wife, Sandy, of Frederick and Christopher Jackson and his family, of Hagerstown; two brothers, Thomas R. Jackson and Dennis Jackson, both of Frederick; a sister, Joan Jackson, of Frederick; numerous grandchildren, including his devoted granddaughter, Ebonee Harper; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Bud was predeceased by his daughter, Sabrina Jackson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kiwanis Club of Suburban Frederick Fund, c/o the Community Foundation of Frederick County, 312 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701.
