Mr. Charles Eugene Forsythe, 84, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Kline Hospice House with family by his side. He was the husband of Mildred Gombita Forsythe, wife of 62 years. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends who adored him.

Born April 2, 1928 in Gary, Indiana he was the son of the late Charles J. and Frances McGinnis Forsythe.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He earned an M.F.A. from the University of Illinois in 1959.
