Charles R. Dunkin, Sr. (Bob)

Charles R. Dunkin Sr., (Bob) 85, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at his home in Keedysville, Maryland. He was the beloved husband of Hazel M. Holmes Dunkin for 60 years. 

Born on October 17, 1938, in Frederick Co., MD, he was the son of the late Charles William Ellsworth and Beulah Irene (Palmer) Dunkin. 

Bob loved the Lord and put his trust in Jesus. He loved meeting new people and loved traveling and seeing new places especially Florida. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four sons, Charles R. Dunkin, Jr. (Devena), Jeffery S. Dunkin (Stephanie) and William A. Dunkin (Kristina) and John Edward Dunkin; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Irene Dunkin and Valeria Grams and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Guy C. Dunkin and grandson, Jalen Scott Dunkin. 

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Sharpsburg Bible Church, 5134 General Stuart Ct. Sharpsburg, MD 21782 where a celebration of Bob’s life journey will take place at 11 am. Rev. Gene W. Renner will officiate. Interment will be at Samples Manor Cemetery in Sharpsburg, Maryland.
