Charles Edouard Doyle, formerly of Greencastle, Pa. and Hagerstown, passed away at Providence Place in Chambersburg, Pa.
Born March 18, 1921 in St. Charles, Canada, he was the son of the late Joseph and Theona Villandre Doyle.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Phyllis Day Doyle, in 2003.
He served with the medical corps in the US Army during WWII and with the US Air Force during the Korean War.
He retired from Mack Trucks in 1982.
He is survived by a son, Ransom Doyle and wife, Linda, of Greencastle, Pa.; granddaughters, Jamie Doyle, Tessa Doyle and Mia Doyle all of Smithsburg, Md.; sister Jean Churchill of Quaker Hill, Ct.; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are brothers; Armand, Joseph, Edmund, Andrew, Edward, Albert and Phillip; and sisters, Blanche, Pearl, Arline, Agnes and Noella.
There will be no visitation. He requested his body be donated to medical research (Medcure.org). Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of family at a later date.
