Charles Dodson

Charles Ashby Dodson, 84, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center.
Born on September 8, 1931, he was the son of late Edgar Columbus and Susie Elizabeth (Riley) Dodson.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Dorothy C. (Griffith) Dodson; five children, Vernon E. Dodson of Williamsport, Maryland, Brenda K. Dodson-Poffenberger and husband Edward of Keedysville and Ronald L. Dodson and wife Brenda, all of Keedysville, Ralph E. Dodson and wife Pamela of Sharpsburg, and Wayne A. Dodson of Martinsburg; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, July 25, 2016, at Fairview Cemetery, 19239 Shepherdstown Pike, Keedysville, Maryland. Rev. Gene W. Renner will officiate. Military Honors will be rendered by Clopper Michael American Legion Post 10 from Boonsboro.
