Charles Boyer, Jr.

Charles E. Boyer, Jr., 91, of St. James, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born on February 18, 1923, in Antietam, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles E. Boyer, Sr. and Mary C. (Plume) Boyer. His wife, Mary Margaret Virginia Irene (Hetzell) Boyer, preceded him in death on February 15, 2014.
Charles was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.
He was a lifetime member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Frick and husband Ronald of Forest Hill, Maryland; and one granddaughter, Kristal Higinbothom and husband Andrew, also of Forest Hill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Parse and Carl Boyer; and one sister, Nellie Gray.
A memorial ceremony for both Charles and his wife Mary will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at St. James Brethren Church, 17718 Lappans Road in St. James, Maryland. Rev. Brad Selan will officiate. Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
