Charity Rae Van Brocklin, 28, went home to be in the loving arms of her Lord Jesus on Thursday, February 25, 2016. She was the beloved and devoted daughter of John and Georgianna Van Brocklin, as well as the dear sister of Janine Robertson and her husband, Jeff, and her brother Tom Wilson, Jr. and his wife Lori.
Family meant everything to Charity and she had a special bond with her little niece, Kelsey, who adored her and gave her great joy. She always loved seeing her older niece Bethany and nephew Thomas too. Charity will be sadly missed by her extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Charity loved celebrating holidays and birthdays, especially Christmas. She was proud to be a Girl Scout for 8 years and was a beautiful ballet dancer and an avid soccer player during her lifetime. She loved camping, being outdoors, swimming, and creative writing. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and loved her elderly patients.
Charity was unable to work and missed so much life the past five years due to chronic severe migraines. Even though she was in continuous pain, she never let go of her faith and hope. She maintained her courage, positivity, and kindness throughout her illness. Charity was a beautiful person inside and out and would always tell us “You’re always in my heart.” She will always be in ours now and forever.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30 am, followed by a service at 10:30 am in their Chapel. Entombment will be private for the family at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
