Cathleen J. Foster-Smith, 54, of Rohrersville, Maryland, died on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Born on October 21, 1956 in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Mary Claire (Collins) Ball.
Cathleen worked in management for Superfresh for ten years. She was last employed at the Yuma Street Store in Washington, DC, and she was an avid lover of the Renaissance Festival.
She is survived by her husband, Walter M. Smith; her two daughters, Cadi S. Foster and her significant other Tyler of Burtsonville, Maryland, Lauren A. and her husband Daniel Lerian of Easton, Maryland; her son Jared A. Foster of Rohrersville; her two sisters Susan and her husband Paul Concannon of England and Rosemary Ball of Massachusetts; and her brother Thomas Ball of Westwood, Massachusetts.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland. Rev. Stephen E. Hook will officiate. Burial will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2011 at the funeral home as well as one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
