Catherine A. Jenkins

Mrs. Catherine A. Jenkins, 85, of Timonium formerly of Mt. Airy, MD., died on Monday November 24 at her home with her daughter and son in law by her side. She was the wife of the late Norman H.Jenkins.

Born on June 23, 1923 in Mt. Airy she was the daughter of the late John Frank Renn Jr. and Mable C. Becraft Renn.

Mrs Jenkins owned and operated Jenkins Nursery Stock in Mt. Airy for 19 years. She had also worked at the Four Seasons Restaurant and the Ames department store in Mt. Airy.

She was a member as a child at the Watersville U. M. Church, a member of Calvary U. M. Church for 28 years and most recently a member of Mays Chapel U. M. Church in Timonium for 6 years.

Surviving is her daughter Anna L. Wolfe and her husband David of Timonium who she loved dearly. Sister Dorothy A.Watkins and her husband Albert D. of Mt. Airy, Brother in law Stewart E. Green of Charlestown, WV. She was preceded in death by sisters V. Irene Reed and her husband Harry E., Louise Green, Edna Mae Ross, Betty Marie Perry and her husband Eugene and one brother Norman Linsay Renn. She is also survived by close friends especially Florence Jacobs, Betty DeLauder and Jean Zimmerman and numerous nieces and nephews.


The family ask that when sending flowers to remember that pink was Catherine's favorite color.

Visitation: Friends may call on Friday November 28, from 3-5 & 7-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy, Maryland.

Services: Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 29, 10:30am at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 South Main Street, Mt. Airy. The Reverend Doug Hays and Reverend Edwin Ankeny of Mays Chapel U. M. C. will officiate. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
